The Temple equestrian club offers lessons in English riding. The club provides an excellent outlet for riders who have ridden all of their lives and want to continue in college. Those who have never ridden before, but are interested in learning, are also welcome. We compete and train in English disciplines and train weekly.

As members of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association we compete against eight clubs throughout our region, Zone 3, Region 5. Competition levels range from beginner walk/trot or walk/jog through open over fences (3ft) and open reining classes. Showing is not required (although lessons are), but it is highly recommended as it is a club bonding experience and an opportunity to show off what you have learned. We compete in 10 English shows throughout the academic year. We end the year with regional and zone competitions, a chance to go to nationals and an award banquet.

Apart from riding, we try to arrange as many social and fundraising events as we can accommodate. We participate in these events so that we can afford small luxuries for team members, such as buying apparel and covering the cost of show fees and trips.
